I had the privelege to assist with the JV Basketball team this past year. It was great to be back. Coaching brought back many memories. Each time I walked into the doors of Seton I reflected on how everything started right there. Candy Cage '81 is doing a wonderful job at Seton as the AD. Sports teaches a child so many life long lessons that I wanted to start a fund for the Basketbal teams to give kids that may want to attend Seton and may not have the means to be apart of Seton basketball tradition. I want to get some form of feed back from our class, before I approach Candy about what could be done.

I love it here, Maryland is too cold for me now. Sometimes the traffic is a bit rough in the summer, but you learn your way around it; and it's nothing like back home. When I lived in Silver Spring it took me an hour and forty-five minutes to commute to the city. Now it only takes me 12 minutes to get to work. I didn't know anything about the reunion. I guess I better start tossing the idea around! Travelling for me is a huge exercise in logistics with 5 boys still at home, but it can be done! As an artist-in-residence, Madelyn works primarily with African Americans, Africans, West Indians from the Caribbean, and Latinos. Each week she engages them in creative arts activities as part of the healing process and creates awareness and support for the arts in healthcare among professionals, caregivers, and the community-at-large. Madelyn’s art collection entitled “Ask the Troubadours Who Have Come From Those Who Have Loved” is permanently housed at Howard University Hospital’s Freedman’s Hall Gallery of Art.
